Our Story
Founded in 1978 by Wayne Torgerson, North Central Service began with a small crew, a few machines, and a commitment to doing honest work. Over the years, the company grew into a respected name in underground construction, known for taking on tough jobs and delivering dependable results.
When Troy Torgerson took ownership in 2005, he brought new vision and energy to the business. After his unexpected passing, current leadership made it a priority to continue what Troy started. Today, North Central Service remains dedicated to keeping Troy’s dreams for NCS alive while building on the foundation that has guided us for nearly fifty years.
Our Reach
From our roots in Bemidji to projects completed across the United States, North Central Service has grown through hard work, reliability, and trust. With our sister location in Idabel, Oklahoma, we’re able to serve an even broader range of clients and projects. Our crews have completed work in more than twenty states, handling every kind of terrain and condition to bring infrastructure to life.
